First off, I love all the dragon age games but as far as story goes I’d have to say the second one is my favorite. The second one gets a bad rep for being shorter than the first and third game and having a less customizable character to play as but I think that’s part of why the story feels more cohesive to me than the other two games. Dragon Age 2 is a fantasy RPG where you play as a human named ‘Hawke’. You can choose Hawke’s gender and class(warrior, rogue, mage). The story is split up into 3 acts and takes place over the course of a few years. I enjoy this game because choices you make can influence the story. There are also subplots based on decisions you make. The game also has 4
romancable characters(5 if you have the dlc) that each have a story of their own. I like the amount of development given to the characters in this game. They’re not just some one dimensional NPCs you can barely interact with, they each have interesting backstories that are reflected in their personalities and actions. The decisions you make in game also have an impact on your companions opinion of you and some will even leave you if their approval level gets too low.
