Ryan Savas - Week 2 HW

During the second industrial revolution in 2096 after the invention of miniaturized cold fusion reactors, and experimental craft, Excalibur, was in development by the united states military. The project was confidential, as the craft contained an experimental wormhole generator, essentially being capable of teleportation. during trials, the craft was lost en route to its destination (an undisclosed test site in the then United Kingdom), and never arrived. the project was abandoned due to the need for engineers to create new weapons and craft for the upcoming war. ninety-eight years later, a young farmhand, arthur, is awoken when a stray artillery shell from the nearby territorial conflict strikes his cliffside residence, sending a large portion of the surrounding cliff face into the ocean. amidst the newly exposed rock of the cliff face is a cockpit for an old craft, a military craft. arthur investigates. inside the cockpit, aside from the dead pilot, is a set of controls not dissimilar to the pre-war farming equipment he is accustomed to using, and as he knows where the ignition switch is, he flips it. the front face monitor boots, and a message reads, in small text, “excalibur ver 1.0 online”, and the once lost craft finishes its journey instantaneously, it’s destination now a battlefield. Arthur, with his basic knowledge of piloting excalibur, uses its teleportation, weapons systems, and sheer luck to defeat an enemy captain, and rescue friendly forces. The friendlies refer to themselves as the “knights”, and arthur is taken from his old life of farming, into a new battle of fighting for his home.
